It had been far too long since the last boat KAP so with Aub's help (he didn't need much persuading to go out on his boat!) we headed out on Sunday afternoon and grabbed a mooring outside Herm harbour. I say grabbed... it actually took me about 6 attempts to hook up the mooring buoy rope as Aub fought the 20 knot westerly blowing over from Guernsey. Turns out that would be the hardest part of getting set up for the KAP session.
Using the magnificent Storm line winder, I was able fly the PFK delta at various heights to get a range of angles of Herm's lush west coast and also some shots looking across the top of the island.
The Facebook feedback on the panorama picture above has been fantastic. It made the effort in taking the boat out and the subsequent review of many thousands of pictures very worthwhile.
Coming away with images likes this really hits home what beauty is on your doorstep.
The Aerial-i service has this week hooked up with The Best of Guernsey in a bid to 'spread the word' a little more efficiently and to a much bigger audience.
Also in the pipeline is some funky promotional material from the highly regarded TwoDegreesNorth. More to come on that in due course.
