I don't know where the first half of 2014 has gone.
Thinking back, I guess it's been a good 6 months. Aerial pics from home (obviously), Herm, Sark and Alderney on a local scale. Plus a few trips across to the mainland (holiday, training, friend's wedding) and the invite down to Kuwait for the annual Al-Farsi kite festival. Probably the cherry on the cake, though, has been my success in gaining UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) certification which will allow me to offer the only currently active commercial 'drone' service on Guernsey, and one of only two in the Channel Islands. I hope that my Civil Aviation Authority permission will come through in the next 6 or so weeks.
In the meantime, coming up on Saturday is a long-planned break in France with loads of friends. One week in the Vendée countryside and one week on the Île de Ré. New places, new aerial blitz targets. And a healthy dose of downtime.
If I don't blog again soon (and my aeriali.net blogging has been pretty piss poor, let's be honest) then I hope everyone has a great summer break. Or winter break if you are watching from afar in the southern hemisphere!
